It's a great site for artists to be seen. There is a huge amount of art2c featuring many local artists, the back bone of Australian Art.

Art2c.com.au is devoted to Artists who are committed to their work. It's a place to "hang together", to communicate and interact with each other, to exhibit, buy and sell artwork. But most of all it is a place for people who love Art and are just looking for some fantastic Art2c.

The first artist to display her work is Francesca Hunt Irving

Her work is large, loose and flowing. It's constructed with a surprising depth of observation, which presents the viewer with plenty of interesting images to study.

Ancient Paintings

Some things about humanity never change, but luckily Art is the most wonderful part of our nature.

These examples of the earliest European cave paintings, dating back 20 - 30 thousand years are absolute proof that Art has always been an intrinsic part of the human condition and always will be.

The images were found by four boys in 1940 France, deep in the Cave of Lascaux, famous for its prehistoric paintings. There is a lot more images than shown here, they all depict animals, hunts, and wars. The pictures were obviously used to tell stories as they were drawn on the wall like a comic strip. Also here in Australia there are some of the oldest rock paintings on the planet, have a look at those found at Ubirr in the Kakadu National Park
